About My Supernatural Project

My piece for the supernatural theme is called Who Am I…. For this assignment, I kind of wanted to represent the idea of “supernatural in my mind”. I got my inspiration from a dream I had one night, those scenes in my dream were just constantly changing, it gave me the feeling of I am here, but I am nowhere, it was like I forget about who I am, and everything is dazzling and colorful, spinning around me. Therefore, I tried to draw them out fragment by fragment, and I did not want it to make sense because it is like a journey of finding myself in a dream and I wanted to make it feels like everything is out of control. I had a hard time finding the suitable music for my piece, I wanted to be dreamy but also have some catchy rhythm and beats, after a long time of searching, I found this song called Shower which I love so much, it is by an artist named OrO. After I decided to use this music, I took some time to kind of match my drawings with the beats to make them more fun to watch. I also added some small white noises in the back as well. At first, I just want it to match the old TV scene in my drawing, but then I feel like it would add more texture to the whole piece, so I just decided to have the white noises through it all, but some part I did volume down more as well to make the scene more balance.
